Rita lee el documento que le pones y te escribe, en borrador, el correo que va con él. Otra revisión lo comprueba antes de que lo veas. No manda nada. Lo apruebas tú, y queda apuntado. Rita no lee tu buzón y no entra en tu programa de contabilidad. El documento se lo pasas tú. Rita reads the document you give it and writes, as a draft, the email that goes with it. A second check reads it before you do. It sends nothing. You approve it, and it is written down. Rita does not read your mailbox and does not touch your accounting software. You hand it the document.

Escribió el correo, avisó de que el folleto no pone ningún precio, la revisión le dio el visto bueno con notas, y esperó a que apretáramos “Approve”.7 September 2026. El dueño de Cartera Gráfica, una imprenta offset de Madrid, lleva la oficina y la producción, y no es programador. Hasta julio de 2026 llevaba el taller en un Excel compartido, con los números de albarán y de factura escritos a mano. Desde el 30 de julio saca la orden de trabajo, el albarán y la factura desde un solo programa, en su pantalla. Cada número se toma una vez, y si uno se gasta de más se libera con el motivo escrito. En 47 días: 21 números de factura seguidos sin un hueco, 2 anuladas y 5 liberadas con su motivo, copia de seguridad diaria (28 en el registro), y el 5 de agosto pulsó el candado y el Excel pasó a ser solo de consulta.The owner of Cartera Gráfica, an offset print shop in Madrid, runs the office and production, and is not a programmer. Until July 2026 he ran the shop on a shared Excel, with delivery-note and invoice numbers typed by hand. Since 30 July he issues the work order, the delivery note and the invoice from one program, on his own screen. Each number is taken once, and if one is spent by mistake it is released with the reason written down. In 47 days: 21 invoice numbers in a row with no gap, 2 annulled and 5 released with their reason, a daily backup (28 on record), and on 5 August he pressed the lock and the Excel became read-only.

Lo hicieron entre los dos: él lo maneja solo desde el 30 de julio y arregla lo pequeño, los cambios grandes llevan la mano de su hijo. No tiene a Rita dentro: no escribe, no revisa, no manda correos y no sale a internet. Se para en el PDF. Y no hay segunda lectura: el que revisa es él, comparando con una factura real. Nadie ha pagado por él y nadie ha pedido que pague. Es familia. Lo contamos porque muestra lo que pasa cuando el dueño tiene el botón en su pantalla: aprieta, sale la factura, y queda apuntado.What has to be said: that program is not Rita. It is a program made to measure for his shop, and the owner is the father of the person who makes Rita. They built it between them: he has run it alone since 30 July and fixes the small things, the big changes have his son's hand in them. Rita is not inside it: it does not write, does not check, sends no email and never goes online. It stops at the PDF. And there is no second reading: the one who checks is him, against a real invoice. Nobody has paid for it and nobody has been asked to. It is family. We tell it because it shows what happens when the owner has the button on his own screen: he presses, the invoice comes out, and it is written down.
